“My collaboration with ARGO began when I was HR Manager at Tyrolean Airways. Dieter Bernold, Ron Thoma, and our leadership team at the time jointly developed a leadership mission statement and subsequently launched a leadership development program. This project began in late autumn 1998 and proved to be a lasting and complete success!

The first time I experienced the founders – and also one or two long-standing ARGO veterans – interacting with each other, and not specifically from the customer’s perspective, was during a training course in systemic organizational constellations.

Apart from the fact that, in Dieter Bernold’s words, we ‘stood around systemically and intergalactically until our legs nearly fell off,’ I got to know the different personalities and the great, colorful diversity of this group much better.

From profound discussions and intense personal reflections to the joyful experimentation with new things, all the way to late-adolescent schoolboy behavior and uninhibited, almost unrestrained leisure activities – everything was part of it! The range was overwhelming, and I was fascinated by how quickly people switched from one mode to another.

And all of this – not by coincidence – mostly took place in and around Illmitz, so that even back then I noticed certain parallels with Michael Köhlmeier’s interpretation of the legend of the Argonauts! No legend, I thought to myself – pure reality!

As mentioned, that was about 27 years ago, and a lot has happened since then, but somewhere deep inside I already knew at the time that one day I wanted to be part of this colorful bunch. Which I have now had the privilege of being for almost 17 years!”

ARGO means seeing our differences as our strength. It is not always the easiest path, but one that has made us resilient through 30 stormy years in a wide variety of challenging situations.
