“In early 1999, a colleague told me about his friend Dieter Bernold and ARGO. I then reread the Argonauts saga and even went to the office address at the time, Heiligenstädter Straße 51, to get a feel for the surroundings. Afterwards, I wrote in my diary on May 1, 1999:
‘The interview went well – I think almost very well. On Monday I will call to arrange a meeting where I’ll also get to know the other Argonauts. I want to become an Argonaut!’
And that’s how it all began: I became an employee at ARGO, an Argonaut, and even before officially starting I was able to attend an internal training as an introduction – “Constellation Work in Organizations.” It was wonderful – a group of interested, intelligent, warm, and delightfully funny people who are not satisfied with the surface but take a comprehensive look at people and organizations and want to make the world a little better. Wow – I was so proud to be part of it, and I still feel that pride today!
I truly loved being part of ARGO – I felt seen and supported, learned a great deal, stretched far beyond my comfort zone, rode a bus full of Argonauts from the Christmas party in Illmitz in the middle of the night to Vienna to see the brand-new Lord of the Rings together, used the clothing gift voucher for a highly professional “top-notch outfit,” and – after a raft trip with a slightly low waterline across Lake Altaussee – felt as if I had flown with you in sheer joy from the Loser across the Salzkammergut.
Meanwhile, I have been working for years as a self-employed HR developer and coach in northern Germany on the Baltic Sea. But once an Argonaut, always an Argonaut: in 2025 I was able to attend ARGO’s annual review and Christmas event at Baumschlagerberg. It was special, once again wonderful for me, your wish and intention to make the world a little better still moves me today. Thank you for that!
Congratulations on your 30th anniversary, and ‘Always good water under your keel!’”
